PHILIPPINE UNIVERSITIES PARTNER WITH BINANCE TO OFFER BITCOIN COURSES. 24th of AUGUST , 2022
Binance, one of the best leading exchange trade platform, is currently partnering with the Philippines universities to offer bitcoin and cryptocurrency courses in the country. The aim is to provide literacy in the blockchain technology.The Philippines universities would render free courses on bitcoin and other digital asset. This is a major strategy for adoption of bitcoin in the country. Recently, Binance attended a Senate hearing in the country with leaders and regulators to create and foster guidelines for digital asset framework. The primary focus for the regions was based on policies and guidelines on financial literacy and consumer protection.
In the Senate hearing, according to the report by local news outlet- Inquirer, “78% of Filipinos remain unbanked, but crypto can help decrease that number as crypto asset holders will soon surpass the number of credit card holders in the country,” read by Kenneth Stern, Binance’s general manager for the Philippines.
